Heartbroken Cat Refuses To Leave Her Owner’s Grave

Some people believe that animals don’t have feelings of love, devotion, and attachment as strongly as we humans do.

However, in the story below you’ll see how a poor Indonesian cat shows true love to her late owner.

This loyal and loving kitty has been nuzzling, rolling around, and crying at her late owner’s graveside for over a year.

Though people have tried to coax her inside with food, water, and a safe dry place to sleep, the mourning, meowing cat only cares about staying close to her late owner.

Many residents in Central Java, Indonesia, sees a kitty who spends her days laying in the dirt and crying around her late owner’s burial plot.

Strangers have been offering food and water to her. But, this loyal cat refuses to leave the grave — and hasn’t for over a year.

When Keli Keningau Prayitno expressed his desire to adopt the kitten, she showed that she’s only interested in spending time by the grave with her “Mom”.

“I thought she was homeless and tried to help, but every time, she would keep returning to the same place,” he explained to Daily Mail.

One day, Keli noticed she was taking a rare trip away from the grave — so he decided to follow her.

“I followed her and she was going to the home where she used to live, and the lady’s children would feed her,” he reported to the Daily Mail.

But once she was done visiting her deceased owner’s home, the sad cat headed straight back to the plot.

She sleeps there in the dirt, rolls around, and meows in mourning.

“We take some food and water to the cat, but she still likes to go home. She’s at the grave everyday,” said Keli.

This devoted furry baby is not ready to leave her owner’s side, even if the closest she can get to her is nuzzling her blue gravestone.

According to Keli, “It’s very sad to see. It shows just how close animals are to their owners.”

When a loved one passes, it can seem almost impossible to move on from the grief, and this poor little kitty proves that animals feel this pain just as deeply as humans do.

Her year-long mourning shows that everyone, four-legged or two, feels and expresses loss in their own way.
